EDITING
The editing process in any project is always of vital importance and can easily make or break the final product if not undertaken with care, consideration and creativity.
VIDEO FORMATS: Video files are produced to individual requirements including the format, duration, aspect ratio, shutter speed and picture quality up to 4k. The bulk of all post production work is carried out using professional digital video editing software including FCPX ‘Final Cut Pro’
QUALIFIED PILOTS: All drone flights are conducted by experienced, registered, fully qualified and insured commercial drone pilots certified by the Civil Aviation Authority. (CAA. UK)
DISCOUNTS: Dependant on the type and style of shoot it is sometimes possible to offer a discount for footage that can be published in whole or in part by neiltemplar.com as an example of work. Please ask for further details if interested.

SAFETY
THE LAW: There are a large number of regulations and laws surrounding the flying of drones with safety being the top priority. In virtually all cases we inform the local Police Service in advance of planned flights providing the times, location and the purpose. Dependant on the location of the shoot this may also extend to contacting local authorities and or airports.
BRIEFING: Everyone taking part in or in close proximity to a shoot involving a drone will be required to attend a safety briefing on site prior to filming. Any subsequent failure to comply with the safety rules will result in the immediate secession of all flights. The drone pilots decision is final and costs will continue to be incurred by the client until the issue is overcome. The welfare and safety of people and property is paramount.
TAKEOFF & LANDING: In most cases an area will be cordoned off as a safety measure. There are a number of reasons for this but not least, the fact that many drones are now equipped with a failsafe ‘Return to Home’ feature enabling it to automatically fly back and attempt to land at its original take off point should the pilot become incapacitated or lose connection.

VIDEOGRAPHY
Videography is the recording of events, while cinematography is the direction, art and science behind the production of a movie, television show or commercial. We have experience of both. So whether you have a clear idea for the content of your project or need a little more inspiration and guidance we’re here to help.
A GOOD IDEA BUT. . . Most drones are classed as ‘unmanned aircraft’ and as such cannot take off and land anywhere. In instances where a third party owns the land in question permission is always sought in advance. However, such permissions obviously cannot be guaranteed and therefore not all ‘good location ideas’ for a shoot are possible. That said, we are constantly adding to our long list of interesting shoot areas so if you don’t have a location in mind we should certainly be able to suggest one.
WEATHER: While every effort is made to honour all pre planned ariel shoots, drone flights are subject to weather and cannot be flown in certain conditions. Where this occurs alternative dates will be offered.
